Chief of Section, Information Systems and Telecommunications

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking a senior professional to lead its Information Systems and Telecommunications Section. This temporary, fixed‑term position will be based in Port‑au‑Prince and will support critical UN and Haitian security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to the Gang Suppression Force, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), the Haitian National Police, and the Haitian Armed Forces.
• Deliver technical assistance to the Organization of American States (OAS) as required.
• Oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of information systems and telecommunications infrastructure for joint operations.
• Report to the Chief of Operations and Resource Management and ensure alignment with UNSOH strategic objectives.

Required profile

• Advanced professional experience (P5 level) in information systems and telecommunications within an international or security‑focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multi‑agency teams and coordinate technical assistance across UN and partner organizations.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a focus on delivering reliable ICT solutions in challenging settings.
