About the role

We are seeking a fluent Haitian Creole and English speaker to join our team on a remote contract basis. The role focuses on accurately transcribing and translating video content while preserving meaning, tone, and emotional nuance.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe and translate video material between Haitian Creole and English with precise timestamps.
• Identify and describe emotional tone, speaker intent, and expressive nuances.
• Analyze grammar, vocabulary, and tone to provide linguistic insights and improvement recommendations.
• Clarify ambiguous language and resolve conceptual meanings.
• Collaborate with project teams on complex language and communication tasks.
• Consistently meet weekly workload commitments of 10‑40 hours.

Required profile

• Fluency in Haitian Creole and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in transcription, translation, or advanced linguistic analysis.
• High attention to detail and ability to capture subtle emotional and contextual cues.
• Background in linguistics, communications, or a related field.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines remotely.
