MEAL Manager – Humanitarian Projects

About the role

Acted is seeking a MEAL Manager to design and oversee monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning systems for its humanitarian and development programmes. You will ensure projects meet global MEAL standards while supporting field teams across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all MEAL activities and lead the MEAL department.
• Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with Acted’s procedures.
• Build capacity of staff through training and mentorship.
• Manage the beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism.
• Support process development, knowledge capitalization and learning dissemination.

Required profile

• University degree in Political Sciences, Public Administration, International Affairs, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, Statistics or related field.
• 2‑5 years of experience in humanitarian or development organisations.
• Strong organisational, communication and team‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and adapt to changing environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Kobo Toolbox for data collection.
