Program Manager – Haiti (Les Cayes)

About the role

Americares is seeking a Program Manager to lead its health programs in Haiti, primarily based in Les Cayes. The role combines strategic oversight of ongoing and emergency health projects with close collaboration with local clinics, partner organizations, and the regional headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full portfolio of health programs in the South, Southeast, and Grand’Anse departments, ensuring alignment with Americares’ policies and mission.
• Strengthen health centre capacity by improving access to quality services, medical commodities, workforce development, and infrastructure.
• Develop, adapt, and enhance health protocols for partners and internal teams.
• Maintain rigorous quality, compliance, and safety standards in both routine programming and emergency response.
• Monitor program performance, identify challenges, and implement timely solutions.
• Provide strategic leadership and vision for Haiti’s programmatic work.
• Support the preparation and review of proposals, work plans, and budgets.
• Build and nurture relationships with donors to secure ongoing support.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing health or humanitarian programs in low‑resource settings.
• Strong understanding of health systems strengthening and emergency response coordination.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with local partners, government agencies, and international donors.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a results‑oriented mindset.
