Construction Specialist – UNICEF (P-3) – Les Cayes, Haiti

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Construction Specialist (P-3) to provide technical oversight and monitoring of construction and rehabilitation projects in Haiti’s southern departments. Based in Les Cayes, the role focuses on schools, health facilities and child‑friendly spaces, ensuring safe, resilient and child‑friendly infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the construction unit and coordinate with UNICEF programmes and operations.
• Prepare and review design and technical documents for construction projects.
• Support procurement processes related to construction works.
• Provide technical monitoring, quality assurance and oversight of ongoing construction activities.

Required profile

• Completed Master’s degree or equivalent advanced university degree in civil engineering or a related field.
