Contracts Officer – Temporary (6 months) – Port-au-Prince

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is looking for a dynamic Contracts Officer to support its Supply and Logistics team in Port‑au‑Prince. This six‑month temporary appointment (with possible extension) will help ensure that procurement and contract management processes are efficient, transparent and aligned with UNICEF policies, especially in emergency contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Support timely and cost‑effective procurement and contracting activities, including during emergency responses.
• Maintain and update contract tracking systems and procurement databases.
• Monitor contract performance, ensure compliance with terms, and coordinate corrective actions when needed.
• Prepare and review procurement documentation, solicitations, and award recommendations.
• Coordinate with internal programme teams, external suppliers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth delivery of goods and services.
• Provide technical and administrative support to the Chief of Supply and Logistics.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Law or a related field.
• Relevant experience in procurement, contract management or supply logistics, preferably in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a challenging environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of UNICEF procurement policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with contract tracking and procurement management tools.
