Risk & Compliance Officer – Port-au-Prince

About the role

The Risk & Compliance Officer will support the Risk Management Unit in establishing and maintaining effective risk assessment, risk management and compliance processes for the Country Office in Haiti. The role contributes to safeguarding WFP operations by ensuring that policies and procedures are applied consistently and that risks are identified, evaluated and mitigated.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and monitor emerging risks affecting programme delivery.
• Develop, implement and monitor controls to ensure compliance with WFP policies, donor requirements and local regulations.
• Prepare risk and compliance reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on risk management and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with the Risk Management team and other units to integrate risk‑based approaches into project planning.

Required profile

• Haitian national with a relevant university degree (e.g., risk management, finance, law, public administration).
• Demonstrated experience in risk assessment, compliance monitoring or related fields.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.

Required skills

• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to interpret and apply organisational policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in preparing clear and concise reports.
