About the role
The Logistics Planning Officer supports logistics planning and coordination on an as‑required basis. This role assists with transportation scheduling, material movement planning, and logistics optimisation, especially during peak operational periods.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate logistics activities during assignments, including transportation scheduling and material movement planning.
- Track material movements and delivery schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Prepare logistics reports for management review.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to verify material availability.
- Liaise with suppliers and transporters to monitor delivery status.
- Follow all applicable policies, procedures, ISO standards, and safety requirements.
- Support team members during peak periods and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Participate in required training sessions.
- Report health, safety, environmental, and food‑safety hazards, near‑misses, and incidents.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or equivalent plus relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years of logistics or transportation planning experience.
- Basic English proficiency; French is preferred.
- Valid driver’s licence is preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with logistics software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications.
