Machine Learning Consultant – Intermediate (AI Community)

About the role

Join TELUS Digital’s AI Community as a Machine Learning Consultant. You will work remotely alongside policy enforcement specialists to evaluate, fine‑tune, and improve AI models that power content moderation and trust‑and‑safety decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate AI model outputs and chain‑of‑thought reasoning for nuanced Trust & Safety cases.
• Perform high‑quality content annotations in collaboration with policy experts.
• Support supervised fine‑tuning and reinforcement learning (RLHF) processes.
• Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and model weaknesses.
• Produce clear reports and insights for engineering and policy teams.
• Collaborate with policy enforcement teams to ensure model compliance with guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and responsibly handle sensitive content.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in AI model supervised fine‑tuning or reinforcement learning (RLHF).
• 2+ years experience in Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
• 1+ year experience in user‑generated content moderation or Trust & Safety operations.
• Strong data analysis, trend detection, and report writing abilities.
• Native‑level English communication and ability to handle gray‑area scenarios.
• Detail‑oriented with capacity to follow complex workflows and guidelines.
