Sector Coordinator – Shelter, Land & Site Coordination

About the role

The Shelter, Land and Site Coordination (SLSC) Sector Coordinator will lead the SLSC cluster at national and sub‑national levels, ensuring integrated, protection‑centered service delivery for humanitarian response. Reporting to the Senior Emergency Coordinator and under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission, the role coordinates shelter, housing, land‑property and site activities across partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the merged Shelter, Non‑Food Items (NFI) and Camp Cluster to ensure coherent planning and implementation.
• Facilitate partner coordination, evidence‑based planning, and decision‑making.
• Oversee monitoring, reporting, advocacy and accountability mechanisms for shelter, housing, land and property (HLP) and site functions.
• Support the development of strategic response plans and operational guidelines.
• Liaise with government, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders to align interventions.

Required profile

• Relevant higher‑education degree or equivalent professional experience in humanitarian coordination, shelter, land or site management.
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi‑partner humanitarian programmes.
• Strong understanding of protection‑centered approaches and humanitarian standards.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multi‑cultural environment.
