Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead daily cleaning operations, ensuring that all areas meet the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and client expectations. This role involves coordinating staff, monitoring performance, and maintaining compliance with ISO and health‑safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities and ensure tasks follow assigned schedules.
• Allocate work, monitor attendance, and evaluate performance of housekeeping attendants.
• Conduct routine inspections of rooms, facilities, and common areas to verify cleanliness standards.
• Ensure proper use, care, and storage of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
• Report maintenance issues, shortages, and operational concerns to the Housekeeping Manager.
• Provide on‑the‑job training and guidance to team members.
• Enforce health & safety, environmental, and security procedures, and report hazards or incidents.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, checklists, and attendance logs.
• Apply and uphold all relevant ISO standards.

Required profile

• High School Certificate (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of housekeeping experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office.
• Hands‑on knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning chemicals.
• Understanding of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and health & safety requirements.
• Basic communication skills in English and fluency in French.
• Ability to supervise staff in a multicultural environment and willingness to work shifts.
