Assistant IT Manager – Labadee

About the role

The Assistant IT Manager supports the IT Manager in overseeing all technical aspects of IT operations at Labadee. The role focuses on network infrastructure, communications systems, and ensuring maximum uptime for business and operational IT services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, and Aruba wireless devices.
• Manage Active Directory users, groups, and permissions.
• Perform server maintenance tasks such as backups, patching, and preventative upkeep.
• Support satellite communications, CCTV, broadcast and emergency systems in collaboration with security and operations teams.
• Provide after‑hours support, monitor incident tickets, and escalate high‑priority issues to shoreside IT.

Required profile

• Diploma in Computer/IT Science or equivalent with at least five years of related experience.
• Minimum two years in an IT Officer or Specialist role at a private destination.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or comparable networking experience; PBX training is a plus.

Required skills

• Network infrastructure expertise (Cisco, Aruba, firewalls, proxies, mobile device management).
• Active Directory administration.
• Server and workstation support across Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Knowledge of POS and property management systems (Sand Dollar, InfoGenesis, Fidelio PMS).
• Experience with satellite communications, CCTV, and broadcast emergency systems.
