Artisan Plumber – Facility Management (NAT Talent Pool)

About the role

The Artisan Plumber will join the facility‑management team to deliver installation, maintenance and repair of water‑supply, drainage and sanitary systems across various sites. The role involves hands‑on work, safety compliance and collaboration with supervisors and material suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair water‑supply piping, connections and related fixtures.
• Install and service drainage, wastewater and sewer networks, including bottle traps and cleanouts.
• Fit and repair sanitary fixtures such as toilets, washbasins and showers.
• Maintain kitchen and laundry plumbing, including sinks, appliances and water heaters.
• Service grease traps, septic‑system connections and water‑control devices (valves, faucets, ball cocks).
• Perform leak detection, pressure testing and commissioning of plumbing installations.
• Report health, safety, environmental and food‑safety hazards and near‑misses.
• Follow ISO standards and attend daily safety briefings.

Required profile

• Trade certification in plumbing with a valid plumbing licence preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant plumbing experience.
• English proficiency required; French/Creole advantageous.
• Ability to wear required PPE and adhere to safety protocols.

Required skills

• Use of pipe cutters, threading machines and soldering equipment.
• Knowledge of water‑supply systems, drainage/wastewater systems and sanitary fixtures.
• Experience with kitchen/laundry plumbing, water heaters, grease traps and septic connections.
• Leak detection techniques and pressure‑testing procedures.
