Camp Movers & Manual Laborers

About the role

We are looking for reliable movers and manual laborers to support daily operations within a remote camp. The role involves handling, transporting, loading, unloading and relocating furniture, equipment, supplies and other materials while ensuring safety and compliance with camp procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, loading, unloading and moving items throughout the camp.
• Assist with room set‑up, reconfiguration and clearance during mobilisation, demobilisation, inspections or special events.
• Support housekeeping, logistics and maintenance teams with moving‑related requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and order of work areas after moving activities.
• Report any damages, safety hazards or incidents to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Provide assistance during emergencies or urgent operational needs.

Required profile

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant manual handling experience.
• Physically fit and able to perform demanding labour.
• Basic communication skills in English and fluency in French.
• Willingness to work flexible, shift and extended hours as required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Required skills

• Use of basic moving tools and equipment such as trolleys, carts and lifting aids.
• Knowledge of safe manual handling and lifting techniques.
• Awareness of health and safety procedures in a camp environment.
