Civil Engineer – Facilities & Infrastructure Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

This position leads the Facilities & Infrastructure Maintenance team at a designated site, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance, civil works, and HVAC projects are executed safely and to quality standards. The role reports to the Location Project Manager and coordinates closely with subcontractors and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all maintenance technicians, artisans and subcontractors on‑site.
• Plan, schedule and oversee civil, structural and HVAC works, including method statements and risk assessments.
• Conduct daily site inspections, toolbox talks and ensure compliance with building codes, ISO standards and health‑safety regulations.
• Monitor project progress, KPIs and resource requirements, reporting to the Location PM.
• Review and approve completed work before client hand‑over.
• Implement performance management for direct reports, including KPI setting and training.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction.
• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising civil/construction projects.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Ability to wear required PPE and attend daily safety briefings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CMMS platforms.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Experience using project scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of FM operations, minor engineering and HVAC systems.
• Strong understanding of quality control, health & safety and emergency response procedures.
