Collision Auto Body Technician

About the role

Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking a skilled Collision Auto Body Technician to deliver high‑quality repairs and exceptional customer experiences. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, restoring them to pre‑accident condition while upholding the company’s speed, quality, and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan consistently.
• Assess damage, plan repairs, and prepare cost estimates for customers.
• Use cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to remove and replace damaged sections.
• Hammer out dents, apply filler resins, and perform structural realignment of chassis and frames.
• Replace or repair glass, windshields, and interior components as needed.
• Weld, attach, and fit parts, then prepare and repaint vehicles with factory‑specified paint.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect finished repairs for quality.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3‑year apprenticeship in auto body repair.
• Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong teamwork skills and a thorough understanding of vehicle body repair methods and tools.
