Deputy Director of Finance – Haiti

About the role

The Deputy Director of Finance will provide financial leadership for the IRC country program in Haiti, ensuring a robust financial infrastructure, compliance with local and donor requirements, and strategic support to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial information and analysis to support the Country Director and senior management in decision‑making.
• Conduct strategic analysis of the program’s overall financial health.
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of the country program’s strategic and operational plans.
• Ensure all in‑country financial practices comply with IRC policies, donor requirements, and local laws.
• Establish and adapt finance procedures to supplement global policies as needed.
• Monitor financial activities, advise on performance, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Act as the principal finance business partner to senior management, the Country Director, and regional staff.
• Maintain dual reporting lines to the Country Director and the Regional Controller.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in humanitarian or non‑profit settings.
• Strong ability to develop and manage financial infrastructure and systems.
• Expertise in ensuring compliance with local regulations, U.S. standards, and donor requirements.
• Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and decision‑support skills.
• Willingness to be based in Haiti and work within a multi‑stakeholder environment.
