Director of Mission Support

About the role

The Director of Mission Support (DMS) leads the United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) in delivering comprehensive logistical, administrative and operational assistance to the mission’s partners. Based in Port-au-Prince, the DMS works in a non‑family duty station and reports directly to the Head of Mission.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all logistical, administrative and operational support functions required for the mission’s mandate.
• Provide support to the Gang Suppression Force (GSF), the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), the Haitian National Police and the Haitian Armed Forces, especially for joint operations with the GSF.
• Deliver technical assistance to the Organization of American States (OAS) as mandated.
• Ensure effective resource planning, procurement, transport, accommodation and office services for mission staff.
• Maintain compliance with United Nations policies and Security Council resolution 2793 (2025).

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing mission‑support functions in an international or UN context.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple agencies and security forces.
• Willingness to serve in a non‑family duty station without family relocation.
• Strong leadership and reporting skills, reporting directly to the Head of Mission.
