Director of Programs

About the role

World Relief is seeking a senior leader to oversee its program portfolio in Haiti. The Director of Programs will work closely with the Country Director to provide strategic direction, ensure effective implementation, and represent the organization with donors and partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of all country programs, aligning them with strategic objectives and donor requirements.
• Supervise sector leads and MEAL focal points, ensuring high‑quality data collection, reporting and learning.
• Represent World Relief in donor meetings, government forums and NGO clusters, cultivating partnerships and resource‑mobilization opportunities.
• Oversee proposal development, budgeting, financial compliance and audit preparation in collaboration with Finance and Operations.
• Ensure robust MEAL systems are in place and that program impact is documented and communicated.
• Support field offices on HR, logistics and security matters, including contingency planning and emergency response.
• Act as deputy to the Country Director, stepping in during absences and contributing to overall office strategy.

Required profile

• Strong personal Christian faith and commitment to World Relief’s mission and values.
• Master’s degree from an accredited university.
• Proven experience in leading multi‑sector humanitarian or development programs.
• Ability to work effectively with donors, government agencies, churches and local partners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
