Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator (NO-3) – Temporary (6 months)

About the role

The Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator (NO-3) will support UNICEF’s education response in Haiti during humanitarian emergencies. Reporting to the Chief Education (Programme/Cluster), the incumbent will facilitate coordination among government, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners to ensure a strategic, evidence‑based education response for crisis‑affected children.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate humanitarian education actors in Haiti and promote effective collaboration.
• Develop sectoral plans, monitor cluster performance and ensure alignment with IASC core functions and humanitarian standards.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders.
• Support innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building initiatives within the education cluster.
• Provide technical assistance to education programmes and ensure they meet the needs of affected communities.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in education, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, international development, management, social sciences or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in programme planning, coordination, management or research in education, including humanitarian contexts.
• Fluency in French and intermediate proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Strong coordination and partnership‑building abilities.
• Experience in developing sectoral plans and monitoring cluster performance.
• Knowledge of IASC humanitarian education standards and core functions.
