Field Security Officer

About the role

The Field Security Officer (FSO) supports the safe and effective delivery of CTG operations in Haiti. The role provides contextual security analysis, movement advice, incident response, and practical risk guidance to protect staff, consultants and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security developments, armed group activity, civil unrest and access constraints, and assess their impact on CTG operations.
• Produce concise security reports highlighting operational implications, emerging risks and recommended actions.
• Advise staff and consultants on safe movement routes, timings, communications, contingency measures and security considerations.
• Deliver context‑specific security briefings, inductions and awareness sessions to promote situational awareness.
• Support immediate response to security incidents, gather information, coordinate escalation and contribute to after‑action reviews.
• Maintain working‑level relationships with client security teams, UNDSS, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and maintaining practical security procedures, annexes and guidance aligned with CTG standards.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret security trends and translate them into operational advice.
• Excellent communication and briefing skills, able to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Experience working in high‑risk environments, preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and maintain professional relationships.
