Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for financial reporting, cash‑flow management, audit coordination, tax compliance, internal controls, procurement oversight and stakeholder management across Digicel entities.

Key responsibilities

• Financial reporting & control: prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for all entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Cash flow management: maintain accurate cash‑flow forecasts, deliver reliable cash‑flow reporting and monitor working capital.
• Audit management: coordinate with external auditors, provide schedules and documentation, and address audit findings.
• Tax compliance: ensure accurate local tax computations, timely statutory filings and payments.
• Internal controls & compliance: monitor, evaluate and improve internal financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Procurement oversight: review and approve requisitions and purchase orders within delegated authority limits.
• Stakeholder management: collaborate with Shared Service Centre teams, provide financial insights and support budgeting, forecasting and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) – advantage.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, preferably in a Financial Controller role.
