Geography & Map Specialist – Remote (AI Community)

About the role

Join TELUS Digital’s AI Community as a Geography & Map Specialist. You will act as the “eyes on the ground” for AI models that generate maps, ensuring they correctly identify roads, buildings, landmarks, and natural features.

Key responsibilities

• Confirm landmarks in satellite imagery (e.g., verify whether a structure is a hospital or a shopping mall).
• Check suggested routes for feasibility and flag impossible paths.
• Validate and correct place names for neighborhoods, streets, and natural features.
• Tag environmental elements such as forests, rivers, and new construction sites on maps.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or Environmental Science.
• Native‑level proficiency in your primary language and basic (B1) English.
• Strong visual accuracy and ability to read maps and recognize patterns in satellite photos.
• Willingness to complete a subject‑specific qualification exam and ID verification.
