Grants and Capacity Building Officer

About the role

The Grants and Capacity Building Officer will support IOM Haiti’s project to strengthen civil society organisations in border regions. The role focuses on managing donor‑funded grants, building organisational capacity, and ensuring effective implementation of protection and reintegration activities for returned migrants and host communities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and report on grant proposals, budgets and financial statements in line with donor requirements.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building support to CSOs on project design, implementation, and reporting.
• Coordinate with IOM field teams, government partners and NGOs to ensure alignment of activities with project objectives.
• Track and analyse migration trends and forced‑return data to inform grant strategies.
• Prepare regular progress reports, impact assessments and lessons‑learned documentation for donors and senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in International Development, Public Administration, Economics or a related field.
• Relevant experience in grant management, capacity building or project coordination within humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with migration‑related issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset.
