Head of Support – Haiti

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking a dynamic Head of Support to lead all support functions in Haiti. This senior role ensures high‑quality, efficient assistance to programme implementation while fostering a collaborative culture across finance, logistics, HR, ICT, risk and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line‑management for directly reporting staff, including performance management, goal setting and staff development.
• Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, induction and duty‑of‑care responsibilities for the team.
• Strengthen the support unit (Finance, Logistics, HR, ICT, Risk & Compliance) and deliver training and coaching to meet NRC standards.
• Facilitate the support function’s strategic input into the Country Strategy and Plan of Action.
• Build collaborative relationships between support and programme teams, ensuring respectful communication and timely responses.
• Work with the Country Director and Finance Manager to ensure accurate periodic financial reporting to the regional team.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of the NRC Haiti Country Strategy and annual Plan of Action.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years senior management experience in a humanitarian or recovery context.
• Proven ability to allocate resources and manage costs in complex, volatile environments.
• Demonstrated results in leading multi‑disciplinary support functions.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on accountability and innovation.
• Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken.
