Heavy Truck Driver

About the role

CTG (Committed To Good) is seeking experienced Heavy Truck Drivers to transport food commodities and non‑food items across Haiti. The role involves safe, timely delivery of cargo, maintaining vehicle condition, and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Drive client trucks and other authorized vehicles on official assignments nationwide.
• Deliver cargo to the destination specified on the waybill, obtain consignee signature, and return the signed waybill.
• Detect and report mechanical or electrical faults immediately to the Fleet Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance, basic servicing, and ensure timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate mileage and fuel logs, and keep the vehicle clean.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections of oil, lubricants, water levels, and safety equipment.
• Report accidents, incidents, pilferage, or damage promptly.
• Act as security during loading and off‑loading, and ensure first‑aid kits and fire extinguishers are stocked.
• Follow safe‑driving rules and vehicle tracking procedures.

Required profile

• National identity card.
• Detailed Curriculum Vitae.
• Certificate of good conduct and morals.
• Valid heavy‑vehicle driving licence.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience driving heavy trucks.
• Good spoken and written French.
