Programme Policy Officer (NOB) – Miragoane, Haiti

About the role

The Programme Policy Officer (NOB) will support the implementation of the World Food Programme’s Country Strategic Plan 2024‑2028 in Haiti. Based in Miragoane, the officer will contribute to emergency food assistance, nutrition‑focused safety nets, and capacity‑building initiatives for small producers and local actors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring emergency food assistance programmes.
• Develop and support nutrition‑oriented social safety net interventions.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities for small producers and promote climate‑resilient livelihoods.
• Collaborate with national and local authorities, NGOs and other partners to ensure effective programme delivery.
• Prepare regular reports, analyses and documentation in line with WFP policies and standards.
• Contribute to the evaluation of programme impact and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Haitian national; female candidates are strongly encouraged.
• Relevant university degree (e.g., development studies, agriculture, economics, social sciences).
• At least two years of experience in programme management or policy within a humanitarian or development context.
• Good knowledge of food security, nutrition, and climate‑resilience concepts.
• Fluency in French and English.
