About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Officer to lead Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) activities in camps and host communities across Haiti. Working under the Chief of Mission and in close coordination with the Senior Emergency Coordinator, the officer will ensure effective implementation of CCCM projects and support displaced populations.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor administrative and operational activities of approved CCCM projects in Haiti.
- Support and maintain coordination mechanisms for service provision at site level.
- Participate in needs assessments to identify population needs and available services.
- Assist in operationalising Community Resource Centres (CRCs) for displaced persons living with host families.
- Track and follow up on maintenance of site infrastructure.
- Provide technical inputs for site development and risk mitigation in coordination with Shelter and WASH teams.
- Map safety risks around displacement sites where feasible.
- Support contingency planning based on population movement scenarios.
- Supervise CCCM national officers and field assistants.
- Monitor quality of work of IOM’s site‑management implementing partners (IPs).
- Review IP narrative reports and verify consistency with field observations.
- Follow up on administrative processing of IP payment requests in line with contract and donor requirements.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of training or capacity‑building activities for IPs.
- Monitor community‑based feedback and complaint mechanisms through CRCs.
Required profile
- Experience implementing CCCM activities in displacement settings.
- Ability to support coordination mechanisms and conduct needs assessments.
- Experience establishing and managing Community Resource Centres.
- Knowledge of site infrastructure maintenance and risk mitigation.
- Ability to map safety risks and support contingency planning.
- Experience supervising staff and monitoring implementing partners.
- Familiarity with donor compliance and payment processing procedures.
- Experience designing and delivering training for partners.
- Ability to monitor feedback and complaint mechanisms.
