Project Officer

About the role

World Vision, a Christian humanitarian organization with 75 years of experience, is seeking a Project Officer in Haiti to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of development, humanitarian, and resilience projects. The role works closely with communities, local partners, and authorities to ensure effective project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of projects and programmes.
• Develop and update work plans, timelines, and monitoring tools.
• Ensure budget tracking for activities and contribute to procurement plans.
• Identify operational risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with World Vision and donor policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support local partners in project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international development, project management, administration, education, agronomy or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience managing development, humanitarian or resilience projects.
• Experience working with communities, local authorities and partners.
• Experience managing donor‑funded projects.
• Experience supervising field activities and coordinating multisectoral efforts.
• Strong planning and project management abilities.
• Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage conflicts and work in a multicultural team.
