Representative for Haiti

About the role

The Representative will lead the joint office of the Lutheran World Federation (LWF) and Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) in Port‑au‑Prince, overseeing the Country Program and ensuring effective delivery of humanitarian and development interventions across Haiti.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership, representation and management of the LWF/NCA Joint Office and Country Program.
• Oversee implementation of the LWF/NCA Haiti Country Strategy and operational plan.
• Monitor contextual developments, assess risks and identify opportunities for program adaptation.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with local NGOs, civil society and donors.
• Lead fundraising efforts and secure new funding streams.
• Ensure robust financial management, compliance and risk mitigation.
• Host and coordinate activities of four international organizations based in the joint office.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in humanitarian or development settings.
• Strong understanding of protection, gender justice, disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, economic development and food security.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse local partners and international stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, strategic planning and decision‑making skills.
