Senior Electrical Engineer – Mission Infrastructure (Port‑au‑Prince)

About the role

The Engineering and Facilities Management Section seeks a senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design, implementation and supervision of electrical infrastructure projects across mission sites in Haiti. The role ensures reliable, safe and sustainable power systems for camps, offices, utilities and critical facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee power generation, distribution and electromechanical systems in line with engineering standards.
• Conduct electrical assessments, load calculations and feasibility studies.
• Prepare single‑line diagrams, electrical layouts, technical specifications, BOQs, SOWs and cost estimates.
• Support project planning, procurement and contractor management.
• Supervise construction, installation and maintenance activities, ensuring technical compliance and safety.
• Lead testing, commissioning and hand‑over of electrical systems.
• Integrate renewable energy solutions and drive infrastructure modernization.

Required profile

• Proven experience in power generation, distribution and protection systems.
• Strong background in control systems and electromechanical installations.
• Experience with renewable energy integration and infrastructure upgrades.
• Ability to produce detailed engineering documentation and technical reports.
• Excellent project supervision and contractor coordination skills.
