Technical Consultant – Gavi 6.0 Application Development (5‑month consultancy)

About the role

UNICEF Haiti is seeking a Technical Consultant to support the development of Haiti’s Gavi 6.0 application for the 2026–2030 period. The assignment lasts five months and is primarily remote, with occasional mission travel to Haiti.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a comprehensive, high‑quality Gavi 6.0 application package, including justification of priority functions and a fully costed multi‑year workplan.
• Identify and coordinate implementing partners, ensuring clear roles and implementation arrangements.
• Develop indicators, targets and a robust monitoring framework aligned with the Partnership Accountability Framework.
• Provide expert guidance on immunization system bottlenecks, realistic delivery approaches and data quality improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Gavi funding mechanisms and deadlines.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (master’s or higher) in Public Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, Health Supply Chain or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with Gavi applications and more than 5 years of experience in immunization programme management.
• Demonstrated ability to work in fragile and high‑risk settings.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of immunization programmes and Gavi funding mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Gavi 6.0 Country Foundations approach.
• Experience in health systems strengthening and data systems.
