Associate Engineer (NOB)

About the role

This temporary position is based in Port-au-Prince within the United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH). The Associate Engineer, NOB will support the Gang Suppression Force, the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti, the Haitian National Police and the Haitian Armed Forces, and will also deliver technical assistance to the Organization of American States. The role focuses on civil engineering, facilities planning and real estate management and reports to the Chief of the Engineering Section (P5) or a designated officer.

Key responsibilities

• Provide civil‑engineering support to joint operations involving the GSF, BINUH, HNP and Haitian Armed Forces.
• Assist the Organization of American States with technical assistance tasks.
• Carry out facilities planning and real‑estate management activities for UNSOH projects.
• Coordinate with the Engineering and Facility Management Section to ensure compliance with UN standards.
