Child Protection Specialist (P-3) – Temporary Appointment

About the role

The Child Protection Specialist will strengthen UNICEF’s child protection programme in Haiti by supporting the full programme cycle—from planning and implementation to monitoring and evaluation. Based in Port‑au‑Prince, the role reports to the Chief of Child Protection and contributes to creating a safer environment for children.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and planning of child protection projects and programmes.
• Manage programme implementation, monitor progress, and ensure results are delivered on time.
• Provide technical and operational guidance to field teams and partners.
• Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge sharing, and capacity‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law, or a related social science.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in project planning and management within child protection or related fields.
• Experience working at the international level, preferably in a developing country and in emergency contexts.
