About the role
The Disaster Risk Reduction Specialist will design and implement programs that strengthen community resilience and preparedness for natural hazards in Haiti. This role focuses on building effective early warning systems and fostering collaboration with government disaster agencies.
Key responsibilities
- Design and launch comprehensive DRR strategies and programs.
- Build and enhance community preparedness capacity.
- Develop, test, and maintain early warning systems.
- Coordinate activities with national and local disaster management authorities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Disaster Management, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in disaster risk reduction.
- Strong knowledge of early warning systems and community preparedness practices.
