Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator (NO-3) – 6‑month TA in Port‑au‑Prince

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Education Specialist Cluster Coordinator (NO‑3) to support the Education Cluster in Haiti for a six‑month technical assistance assignment. Reporting to the Chief Education (Programme/Cluster), you will help ensure a coordinated, strategic, and accountable education response during humanitarian emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate humanitarian education actors across government, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners.
• Develop sectoral plans, monitor cluster performance and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Facilitate networking, partnership building and information sharing among stakeholders.
• Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building initiatives within the cluster.
• Provide technical support to education programmes to align with IASC core functions and humanitarian standards.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in education, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, international development, management, social sciences or a related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience in programme planning, coordination, management or research in education, including experience in humanitarian contexts.
• Fluency in French and an intermediate level of English.

Required skills

• Strong coordination and partnership‑building abilities.
• Experience developing sectoral plans and monitoring performance indicators.
• Knowledge of humanitarian education standards and IASC core functions.
