Head of Programming – Country Program, Haiti

About the role

As a member of the Country Program Senior Management Team, the Head of Programming provides strategic direction, leadership and oversight of high‑quality programmes serving poor and vulnerable populations in Haiti.

Key responsibilities

• Define and steer the Country Program’s strategic frameworks, plans and resource‑mobilisation strategies in line with regional and agency priorities.
• Lead high‑quality project design, ensuring compliance with project‑management standards and MEAL methodologies.
• Coordinate planning across multiple sectors to integrate interventions and improve implementation efficiency.
• Manage and develop programme staff, including coaching, performance assessments and succession planning.
• Oversee budgeting, resource stewardship and business‑development cycles to deliver donor‑compliant proposals.
• Identify, assess and strengthen partnerships, providing technical assistance and capacity‑building to project teams and partners.
• Design and deliver training curricula, fostering a learning environment and knowledge‑management culture.

Required profile

• Excellent written English communication skills.
• Proven experience in staff management and creating learning‑focused work environments.
• Demonstrated ability in capacity‑strengthening, curriculum development and facilitation of trainings.
• Familiarity with project‑management and MEAL concepts in humanitarian settings.
