Heavy Truck Driver

About the role

CTG is seeking an experienced Heavy Truck Driver to transport food and non‑food commodities across Haiti. The role involves safe, timely delivery of goods while maintaining vehicle condition and complying with security procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Drive client trucks and other vehicles on official assignments throughout the country.
• Ensure cargo reaches the specified destination without pilferage, damage, or undue delay.
• Obtain consignee signatures on waybills and return signed documents to the origin warehouse.
• Detect mechanical or electrical faults and report them immediately to the Fleet Manager.
• Perform preventative maintenance, basic servicing, and arrange timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate mileage and fuel logs.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections, checking oil, lubricants, water levels, and equipment functionality.
• Report accidents, incidents, pilferage, or damage promptly.
• Act as security during loading and off‑loading, and ensure first‑aid kits and safety equipment are stocked.
• Follow safe‑driving rules and vehicle tracking communication procedures.

Required profile

• Valid heavy‑vehicle driving licence.
• Minimum 10 years of experience driving heavy trucks.
• National identity card and a clean certificate of good conduct.
• Good spoken and written French.
