Helper / Site Maintenance Staff

About the role

CTG is seeking a reliable Helper / Site Maintenance Staff member to support the daily upkeep of its office premises in Haiti. The role involves installing furniture, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring all facilities operate smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and re‑install office furniture and equipment.
• Organise office rooms and conference spaces in collaboration with other teams.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and client premises to verify proper functioning.
• Report maintenance needs to the supervisor and respond promptly to repair requests.
• Perform basic repairs, including drainage and plumbing work.
• Maintain fire extinguishers, water tanks, dispensers, sanitation systems and manholes on a monthly basis.
• Keep the office clean and tidy after maintenance activities.
• Support gardeners and helpers to ensure a pleasant work environment.
• Manage the store of stationery and cleaning materials, releasing items using the appropriate forms.

Required profile

• At least three years of progressive experience in cleaning, washing or basic maintenance services.
• National identity card and a clean certificate of good conduct.
• Good spoken and written French is an asset.
• High sense of responsibility, punctuality, honesty and integrity.
• Ability to work in a multicultural team and in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Basic plumbing and drainage maintenance.
• Fire extinguisher servicing.
• Water tank and water‑network cleaning.
• Operation and upkeep of simple machines and cleaning equipment.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and proper use of cleaning chemicals.
