Helper / Site Maintenance Staff

About the role

CTG is seeking a reliable Helper / Site Maintenance Staff member to support the daily operation and safety of its office premises in Haiti. The role involves installing and re‑installing furniture, maintaining facilities, and ensuring a clean, safe environment for all staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and re‑install office furniture and set up conference rooms.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and premises to verify proper functioning.
• Report maintenance needs to the supervisor and respond promptly to repair requests.
• Perform basic repairs, including drainage, plumbing, and fire‑extinguisher maintenance.
• Maintain water‑network systems, clean water tanks, dispensers, sanitation units, and manholes on a monthly basis.
• Ensure overall site cleanliness and support gardeners in keeping the office tidy.
• Manage the store of stationery and cleaning materials, issuing items using the appropriate forms.

Required profile

• Valid national identity card.
• At least three years of progressive experience in cleaning, washing, or basic maintenance services.
• Ability to provide a certificate of good conduct and morals.
• High sense of responsibility, punctuality, honesty, and integrity.
• Capability to work in a multicultural team and in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Basic plumbing and drainage maintenance.
• Fire‑extinguisher inspection and maintenance.
• Water‑system (tanks, dispensers, sanitation) cleaning and upkeep.
• Operation of simple machines and maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge of safety precautions and equipment handling.
