Inbound Delivery Coordination Officer

About the role

The United Nations Support Office in Haiti (UNSOH) is seeking an Inbound Delivery Coordination Officer to manage the flow of freight into the mission. Based in Port‑au‑Prince, the officer will work within the Movement Control Unit, supporting the Gang Suppression Force, BINUH, Haitian National Police and Armed Forces.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound freight activities with vendors, procurement, the centralised warehouse and other stakeholders in line with the mission’s supply‑chain plan.
• Confirm delivery status, review shipment documents and ensure compliance with purchase‑order terms and Incoterms.
• Enter and update shipment data (ETA, quantities, Bill of Lading, customs clearance) in the Umoja ERP system.
• Track and trace deliveries, providing real‑time status updates to all parties.
• Identify and resolve issues that could delay deliveries, working with procurement, vendors and the warehouse.
• Prepare delivery confirmations and support virtual or physical receipt processes.
• Plan deliveries, raise shopping carts and draft statements of work for freight‑forwarding services, including technical bid evaluation.
• Liaise with customs, transport and national authorities to ensure smooth inbound movements.
• Coordinate movement‑control activities for passengers and cargo, including dangerous goods, and provide technical advice on transportation matters.

Required profile

• Experience in logistics, supply‑chain or movement‑control functions within an international or humanitarian setting.
• Familiarity with United Nations procurement and supply‑chain procedures.
• Ability to work under delegated authority and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to address delivery disruptions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Umoja ERP system.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and customs clearance processes.
• Technical evaluation of freight‑forwarding bids.
