Infield Mentor – Missionary Training

About the role

The Infield Mentor supports missionaries by providing personalized coaching, group facilitation, and curriculum‑based instruction. Working remotely, you will help missionaries develop language proficiency, gospel knowledge, and essential missionary skills.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group sessions, and large workshops following the approved curriculum.
• Prepare and coordinate lesson plans with a companion teacher when applicable.
• Monitor missionary participation on Canvas, including discussion boards and assignments.
• Report progress and needs to the Training department supervisor.
• Assist area leadership in coordinating with mission and missionary department leadership.
• Participate in weekly training meetings and co‑teacher collaborations.
• Occasionally role‑play as a non‑member and support temporary duties at the Missionary Training Center.

Required profile

• Returned missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints.
• Fluency in the designated second language (for language‑focused positions).
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, receptive to feedback, and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of the “Preach My Gospel” curriculum and effective language‑learning strategies.
