Infield Mentor – Missionary Training

About the role

The Infield Mentor supports missionaries in Haiti by delivering training that helps them embrace the restored gospel and develop essential missionary skills. Working under the Training department, the mentor provides one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group facilitation and larger workshops following an approved curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons and coaching sessions to junior and senior missionaries in various settings, including one‑on‑one, small groups and large workshops.
• Prepare and coordinate lesson plans with a companion teacher, ensuring alignment with the approved curriculum.
• Monitor missionary participation on Canvas, guide discussion boards and track progress.
• Assist area and mission leadership in coordinating training activities and reporting on task progress.
• Participate in weekly training meetings and co‑teacher sessions.
• Support language proficiency assessments and role‑play scenarios as needed.

Required profile

• Returned missionary with a strong testimony of the restored gospel.
• Fluent in English and the required second language (for language‑specific positions).
• Excellent interpersonal, coaching and facilitation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, professional and receptive to feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the specified second language (when applicable).
• Knowledge of the “Preach My Gospel” curriculum.
• Understanding of effective language‑learning strategies (for language‑teaching roles).
