MEAL Manager – Humanitarian Projects

About the role

Acted is seeking a MEAL Manager to lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities across its humanitarian and development programmes. The role combines technical MEAL expertise with a strong climate and environmental awareness, ensuring projects deliver impact while respecting local contexts.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all MEAL activities in line with Acted’s global procedures.
• Manage the MEAL department, supervising a multidisciplinary team.
• Design and implement capacity‑building and training programmes for staff and partners.
• Develop and document MEAL processes, tools and best practices.
• Oversee the beneficiary Complaint Response Mechanism and ensure timely resolution.
• Support participatory appraisals and project cycle management.

Required profile

• University degree in Political Sciences, Public Administration, International Affairs, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, Statistics or related field.
• 2‑5 years of professional experience in humanitarian or development organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with international and national staff, rural communities and partners.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong adaptability and initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
