MEAL Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning

About the role

The MEAL Manager will lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning function for Hope for Haiti’s programs in education, health, WASH and economic development. Reporting to the Chief Program Officer, the role is based in Les Cayes and requires full‑time, on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve the organization’s MEAL strategy, indicators and data collection tools.
• Provide technical guidance to program teams on designing and executing monitoring plans, surveys and evaluations.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and timely analysis, turning findings into actionable reports and visualisations for stakeholders.
• Lead the MEAL team, supervise senior officers and foster capacity‑building through trainings and workshops.
• Coordinate beneficiary accountability mechanisms and integrate learning‑to‑action processes across all programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Monitoring & Evaluation or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in MEAL management, including designing evaluations and supervising staff.
• Fluency in English (application documents must be in English).
• Proven ability to work in challenging field conditions and travel periodically to project sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with statistical software such as R, Stata, SPSS, SAS or Epi Info.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills for data handling and reporting.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis capabilities.
