MEAL Officer (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning)

About the role

The Officer MEAL will lead the design, implementation and management of monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities for projects based in Port‑au‑Prince. Working in a hybrid setting, the role combines field visits with remote data analysis to ensure program quality and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and apply MEAL plans, logical frameworks, indicators and data collection tools aligned with project objectives.
• Collect, validate and analyse quantitative and qualitative data, maintain project databases and produce regular dashboards and reports.
• Coordinate field monitoring visits, support participatory evaluations and manage community feedback and complaint mechanisms.
• Organise learning events, document best practices and integrate findings into program design, adaptive management and proposal development.
• Prepare concise briefs, presentations and learning summaries for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning within humanitarian, development or human‑rights programmes.
• Background in child protection, education, gender‑based violence or livelihoods is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies or related field; master’s degree is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and field trips, and commitment to gender equality and child protection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets for data entry and analysis.
• Experience using basic statistical or data‑visualisation tools.
• Ability to design and manage accountability mechanisms and facilitate learning sessions.
