Migrants Protection Officer – Haiti

About the role

The Migrants Protection Officer will coordinate and implement IOM Haiti’s migrant protection and assistance interventions. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with the Senior Emergency Coordinator and the Field Emergency Officer, the role ensures protection‑focused responses for returned migrants and other vulnerable migrant populations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the implementation of protection and assistance activities for forcibly returned migrants across Haiti.
• Monitor progress against project objectives, indicators and donor commitments.
• Ensure effective inter‑agency coordination and a protection‑oriented response framework.
• Provide technical inputs to the design, implementation and adaptation of operational and protection strategies.
• Support field teams in delivering assistance to vulnerable migrant groups.

Required profile

• Experience in migration, protection or humanitarian assistance.
• Ability to work under the supervision of the Field Emergency Officer and in coordination with senior mission staff.
• Familiarity with inter‑agency coordination mechanisms.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
