Pilot in Command (PIC) – Regional Airline

About the role

The Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Bolt S.A. aircraft on scheduled and charter flights. Based in Port‑au‑Prince, the position follows a 5‑6 weeks on / 3‑4 weeks off rotation with travel provided between home and the rotation base.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑flight planning, aircraft inspections, and review weather and route information.
• Manage all flight phases – takeoff, en‑route navigation, approach, and landing – in compliance with company procedures and regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatch, ground teams, and air traffic control; monitor aircraft systems throughout the flight.
• Provide clear communication to passengers when required and uphold high standards of airmanship.
• Complete required training, recurrent checks, and contribute to a safety‑focused culture.

Required profile

• FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot Certificate – Single Engine Land.
• FAA First Class Medical (renewed annually).
• Current Flight Review (renewed every 24 months).
• High Performance and Complex Aircraft Endorsements.
• Minimum 750 hours total flight time (1 000 hours preferred), including 500 hours PIC, 250 hours cross‑country, and 100 hours instrument.
• Thorough knowledge of airspace, weather, company procedures, and safety practices.
• Strong situational awareness, judgment, and decision‑making under varying conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork with crew and ground staff.
• Ability to follow structured checklists, manage time effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
• Proficiency with modern avionics, electronic flight bags, and aviation software tools.
• Willingness to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays, with a clean safety record.

Required skills
