Programme Management Officer, Administration

About the role

The Programme Management Officer, Administration supports the Chief of Staff of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH). Based in Port‑au‑Prince, the officer ensures strategic, efficient and accountable support services for programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation across the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate assigned programmes and projects, monitoring progress and initiating corrective actions.
• Coordinate requirements across procurement, logistics, IT, transport, finance, budgeting, human resources and medical services.
• Administer delegation of authority instruments and draft service level agreements in line with UN financial policies.
• Prepare written outputs such as background papers, analyses, report sections and inputs for publications.
• Provide substantive support for meetings and conferences, including agenda setting and document preparation.
• Manage budget‑related activities, including programme preparation, progress reporting and financial statements.
• Collect, analyse and visualise data to identify trends and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of UN administrative, budgetary, financial and human‑resources policies and procedures.
• Ability to apply UN rules and regulations to real‑world situations.
• Analytical and evaluative skills for independent research and issue resolution.
• Experience in data collection using various methods and familiarity with electronic research sources.
• Sound judgment and problem‑solving capabilities.
