Programme Officer – Anti-Money Laundering & Counter Financing of Terrorism

About the role

The Programme Officer will support UNODC’s anti‑corruption and AML/CFT initiatives in Haiti. Working from the UNODC Programme Office in Port‑au‑Prince, the incumbent will provide technical assistance, training and coordination to national authorities and judicial actors.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance, training and mentoring to national anti‑corruption, AML/CFT authorities and judicial actors, focusing on complex corruption and financial investigations.
  • Deliver financial investigation training and resources to strengthen the capacity of financial intelligence units, supervisory agencies, law‑enforcement and prosecutorial bodies.
  • Support the operationalisation of Specialized Judicial Poles by enhancing investigative workflows, standard operating procedures and coordination among audit, control, law‑enforcement and judicial actors.
  • Promote inter‑institutional coordination and information‑sharing between anti‑corruption, AML/CFT, law‑enforcement and prosecutorial authorities.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of national anti‑corruption and AML/CFT strategies, including performance frameworks.
  • Contribute to education and awareness initiatives, integrating anti‑corruption and AML/CFT topics into curricula and engaging civil society and youth.
  • Provide analytical inputs to support UNODC’s mandate and the Secretary‑General’s reporting to the UN Security Council on Haiti.

Required profile

  • Demonstrated experience in providing technical assistance and training to anti‑corruption and AML/CFT authorities.
  • Experience with financial investigations, including work with financial intelligence units and law‑enforcement agencies.
  • Ability to support the development and implementation of national anti‑corruption and AML/CFT strategies.
  • Strong coordination skills to facilitate inter‑institutional collaboration.
